–Be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen, not only on the day of your facial but for the following week. Your skin will be more photo-sensitive after a treatment. And you’ll be more likely to burn if you’ve had a peel, as well.
–Better yet, avoid the sun for the rest of the day.
–Avoid touching your face. Pores will stay open for a few hours and you don’t want to introduce dirt and bacteria.
–You can wear foundation if you absolutely can’t go without, but we recommend skipping it and reveling in the beauty that is your natural skin.
–If you’ve had a peel during your treatment, no more peels for a week.
–Put any Retin-A products on hold for three to five days to avoid irritating your skin.
–That night, skip your regular routine. Skin won’t need to be cleansed again and it’s best to keep on the serums and moisturizers applied by your esthetician overnight.
